In Seminyak you’re in the thick of things: breakfast in the pool, then a short walk to the beach. Canggu villas are newer and very photogenic, with rice-field views if you choose well — and staying at the villa neatly sidesteps Canggu’s traffic altogether. The details nobody warns you about
A few things we’ve learned the slightly wet way. Tray stability is physics: a narrow tray with tall glasses will capsize the first time someone laughs, so we use wide bases, low centres of gravity and glassware with its weight at the bottom.
